With a Vintage Twist......

 What Ho Vintage Lovelies..........

As you may remember I recently became
the proud owner of a Dawes Dutches Bicycle.

And I love her dearly, so I thought I would share with you the gift I have placed on my Christmas Wish List just for her                    
                              
A hand crocheted dress guard

              

The dress guard is attached by clips to the fender,

and can so the makers state withstand all weather conditions, 

and after a rainy day the crochet work will dry again like laundry on the line.

The dress guards come in approximately a dozen different pattern and colours and all have lovely names the one in the pictures is Odette ....

I wonder whether it is named after Odette Sanson.

A brave woman who volunteered to join SOE (Special Operations Executive) during WWII. 

She fought with the French resistance and was captured and tortured by the Gestapo. Odette (1950).

Any way this is the one that is  named on my wish list,

I just hope Father Christmas (aka Shady Ray + 3 grown up children) are listening.
