The Dutchess & I.

I have been craving a vintage or a vintage reproduction bicycle for many years and have finally treated my self to one.

         

                                                Dawes Duchess Heritage Bike

I have decided that after every foray out on the Dutchess I will treat myself upon my return to a so aptly named
Blushing Dutchess........

 

Blushing Duchess
2 parts vodka

3 wedges peeled and seeded grapefruit

sugar for rimming the glass

1/2 tsp sugar

1 part triple sec

Rub the grapefruit around the outside edge of the glass and then roll in the sugar.  Place the sugar and grapefruit in the bottom of a shaker, muddle thoroughly. Add vodka, triple sec and ice.  Shake well. Pour drink including ice and grapefruit into rimmed rocks glass.
